First introduced to South African audiences as a fresh-faced and enthusiastic continuity presenter on national television, Liezel has enjoyed an illustrious career as one of the country’s most recognisable media personalities – to date incorporating major television presenting, radio and master of ceremony gigs.
Her big TV break came when she became the second woman in the world to present the highly rated reality talent show, Idols. Since then, she has worked for an extensive list of local and international shows – on channels as diverse as SABC 2, SABC 3 and SABC Sport, SuperSport, M-Net and DStv, with career highlights including Idols, of course, Expresso Morning Show, The Lunchbox and SoundCheck.

Laying the basis for these glitzy opportunities, Liezel kicked off her broadcasting career behind the scenes at Tuks FM, fulfilling the role of music manager. This was followed by an impressive four years at Jacaranda FM, after which she moved to Cape Town to join the the Cape’s biggest radio station.
Liezel presenters regular Fitness Friday feature on 567 Cape Talk with charismatic presenter Abongile Nzelenzele, which aims to inspire listeners to the many great sporting feats and events that are out there for the taking around the country. She also hosts a daily fitness feature on kfm 94.5 On both stations Liezel features a fitness guide that explores the latest in fitness news, fitness trends; gadgets and sporting activities, plus expert advice from fitness coaches, influencers and fanatics on how to live your best healthy life.
Liezel also presents a variety of online fitness features where she reviews new fitness trends, tries out various workouts and showcases fitness trends ; fitcation adventures as well as fitness while you travel.
Outside the studio, Liezel regularly visits schools to educate learners on the importance of road safety, and in fact will be spearheading a huge road-safety campaign this year. Keep watch for an announcement about it. Liezel is also an ambassador for Safe Cycling with the pedal power association.
